C57BL/6 Mouse Macrophages, Bone Marrow, 1-10 x 10^6 (MTS-0922-JF68)

Overview

Description
This product is isolated from the bone marrow of pathogen-free laboratory C57BL/6 mouse. 1-10 x 10^6 cells are delivered frozen. This product is negative in the tests of mycoplasma, bacteria, fungi and yeast. The expression of CD11b is positive by flow cytometry. It is guaranteed to further culture in the conditions provided by Creative Biolabs. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.

FAQs Customer Reviews Related Products

Are these bone marrow-derived macrophages fully differentiated prior to cryopreservation?

Yes, we differentiate bone marrow precursors using M-CSF and confirm macrophage phenotype before cryopreservation. Post-thaw, the cells quickly regain their characteristic morphology and functional activity. This minimizes the need for extended post-thaw culture and ensures readiness for immediate experimentation.

Can I request large orders for screening campaigns?

Yes, we support bulk orders and can provide harmonized large-lot batches ideal for multi-plate or multi-week screening studies. We can coordinate production schedules based on your experimental timeline.

What assays are these macrophages most commonly used for?

These cells are frequently used for phagocytosis assays, cytokine stimulation studies, infection models, compound screening, and M1/M2 polarization.

  • Primary macrophage standard
We use these cells routinely as wild-type controls for KO lines. Their behavior is predictable and easy to work with. The QC report gave us confidence before starting experiments. Everything matched what we observed in the lab.
  • Will reorder for future screening work
Our team used these macrophages for a multi-week drug screening project. The quality remained consistent across plates.
  • Good performance in infection models
These cells responded well during pathogen exposure assays. Strong cytokine responses and stable viability.
