FAQs Customer Reviews Related Products

Are these cells ready to use immediately after thawing?

Yes. After thawing and a brief recovery period in the recommended culture medium (to allow them to adhere), they are ready for your experiment. They are shipped as a fully differentiated and polarized M1 population.

What is the recommended cell plating density?

The optimal plating density depends on your specific assay (e.g., 96-well vs. 6-well plate) and application (e.g., cytokine analysis vs. imaging). A detailed protocol with recommended densities will be provided with your purchase.

Can I re-freeze these cells if I don't use the whole vial?

We strongly advise against refreezing. These are primary cells, and an additional freeze-thaw cycle will severely impact their viability and functional integrity.

  • Will order this specific lot again
The 5 million count is generous and allows for multiple experiments. We verified their M1 phenotype with flow and ELISA, and they were spot-on. A very reliable product.
  • Creative Biolabs has been a good supplier for us
Used these for a drug screening assay. The cells were active and gave us a strong, reproducible signal. It saves us so much time not having to isolate and polarize PBMCs ourselves.
  • We specifically needed M1 macrophages from a donor in their 30s
I'm very impressed with these cells. They arrived on Monday, and I had my experiment running by Tuesday. The viability was fantastic. The pro-inflammatory cytokine profile was textbook M1.
