Description

With GFP expression, this product is isolated from the bone marrow of pathogen-free laboratory C57BL/6 mouse. 0.5 x 10^6 cells are delivered frozen. This product is negative in the tests of mycoplasma, bacteria, fungi and yeast. The expression of CD11b is positive by flow cytometry. It is guaranteed to further culture in the conditions provided by Creative Biolabs. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.

Upon receiving, transfer this product directly from dry ice to liquid nitrogen(-150°C~-190°C) and store it in a liquid nitrogen tank.

Are these cells functionally the same as wild-type C57BL/6 macrophages?

Yes. Aside from the expression of the fluorescent protein, they are functionally identical to our standard C57BL/6 BMDMs. They can be polarized to M1 or M2, are highly phagocytic, and respond to stimuli normally.

What filter set do I use to visualize them?

You can visualize these cells using a standard fluorescein (FITC) filter set on any fluorescence microscope. They have an excitation maximum of ~488 nm and an emission maximum of ~509 nm.

Very good product. The 500k count is a bit low for our needs, but the quality is undeniable. The GFP expression was bright and uniform across the entire population.
