Target Details

Background
M2 macrophages, also known as tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), are a subtype of macrophages that are involved in promoting anti-inflammatory responses and inhibiting NK cell cytotoxicity. They express inhibitory ligands and secrete anti-inflammatory cytokines, making them important players in immune regulation. Additionally, M2 macrophages can hinder NK cell function by expressing non-classical MHC I molecules.
FAQs Customer Reviews Related Products

What markers are included and can it accurately identify M2 macrophages?

This panel contains a pre-optimized combination of M2-associated surface and intracellular markers validated for clear signal separation and reliable identification of alternatively activated macrophages in human samples.

Is the panel suitable for beginners in multicolor flow cytometry?

Yes. The panel is pre-configured to reduce titration and compensation complexity. Recommended staining protocols and gating strategies are provided to facilitate rapid workflow setup.

Can it be used for tumor microenvironment studies?

Yes. It is suitable for detecting M2-like macrophage populations in tumor-derived samples, though minor optimization may be required depending on tissue complexity.

  • Reliable M2 Phenotyping Tool
We applied this M2 multicolor panel in a tumor immunology study and were impressed by the signal clarity and reproducibility. The predefined antibody combination reduced setup time significantly compared to building a custom panel. Data consistency across replicates was excellent, and gating was straightforward, making it a dependable solution for M2 macrophage characterization.
  • Efficient and Reproducible
This panel greatly improved the efficiency of our macrophage polarization experiments. Fluorescence signals were well balanced with minimal background noise. Compared with sourcing individual antibodies, this integrated panel ensured better batch consistency and saved substantial preparation time.
  • High-Quality Data Output
We used this panel for PBMC-derived macrophage analysis and found it highly robust. The markers clearly defined the M2 phenotype, and downstream analysis was smooth. It is particularly suitable for high-throughput comparative studies requiring consistent performance.
