These macrophages are derived from the FVB/N mouse strain. The FVB/N strain is an inbred strain known for its pronounced reproductive performance and well-defined genetic background, making it a common choice for creating transgenic models. Using macrophages from this specific strain allows for consistency and comparability in studies, especially those involving genetic manipulations or specific disease models where the FVB/N background is relevant.
We adhere to stringent quality control protocols. Each lot of our FVBN Mouse Macrophages is tested and confirmed to be negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, fungi, and yeast.
We strongly advise against repeated freeze-thaw cycles. These cells are shipped on dry ice and should be transferred directly to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) for long-term storage upon receipt. To ensure the highest viability, thaw the cells quickly when needed and plate them according to the protocol. If you need to store cells for multiple experiments, we recommend aliquoting the cell suspension into multiple cryovials after the first expansion.
