CD1 Mouse Macrophages, Bone Marrow, 2-10 x 10^6 (MTS-0922-JF74)

Overview

Description
This product is isolated from the bone marrow of pathogen-free laboratory CD1 mouse. 2-10 x 10^6 cells are delivered frozen. This product is negative in the tests of mycoplasma, bacteria, fungi and yeast. The expression of CD11b is positive by flow cytometry. It is guaranteed to further culture in the conditions provided by Creative Biolabs. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.
Applications
Numerous types of experimental manipulations, including morphological, gene expression, and physiological studies.

FAQs Customer Reviews Related Products

What purity level do these CD1 bone marrow-derived macrophages achieve?

Purity typically exceeds 90% F4/80+ macrophages. We assess purity via flow cytometry using F4/80 and CD11b markers. The cells also undergo morphology evaluation and functional assays to confirm macrophage-like responses.

Do these macrophages perform well in long-term stimulation or multi-day assays?

Yes, when cultured under proper conditions, these macrophages remain viable and functional across multi-day treatment cycles. They tolerate repeated stimulation and maintain stable activation marker expression, which is useful for chronic exposure studies.

Are growth factors provided with the product?

Growth factors are not included but can be added separately. We can recommend optimal concentrations of M-CSF or GM-CSF depending on your intended assay. Maintaining consistent cytokine supplementation helps preserve macrophage stability.

  • We used these cells extensively for immunotoxicity screening
Their responses were clean and reproducible, and viability remained high across long-term assays.
  • High purity and strong functional responses
The QC report showed>90% purity, and our flow cytometry data confirmed this. The cells responded strongly to LPS and oxidative stress.
  • The supplier provided detailed instructions and helped us optimize our stimulation conditions
The cells were easy to culture and behaved as expected. We compared these CD1 macrophages with Kupffer cells in a two-system model. The differences were clear and reproducible, making them invaluable to our research.
